I am deeply facinated with your « old ways» Photography Ralph🙂 I am a hobby photographer but with a quite new Canon 70 D. I sometimes enjoy watching Photography Online on YouTube. There its about analog photography/ film which is exciting. You know that Chanel?! I really enjoy reading your articles. The images of the glasses were very good, and others as well.
Its called Online Photography or Photography Online. Its british with a lot of knowlegde/ tips, challenges etc. A young lady hosting it. I try send you a link Ralph😉
What fun - this is great, Ralph! I have been planning to collect things to shoot macros indoors this winter, so your post is great inspiration to do so before the snow comes. I especially love the positive / negative set of the bottle and cork - really nice!
Oh Ralph, I love your tabletop experiments! The way you describe solving those little technical challenges makes the whole process feel (to me the reader) approachable and so much fun. My favourite images are the gathering of Green Men, especially that one who's mid-song! It's great how you’re letting curiosity lead the 'creative' way. Perfect for these cold, rainy days. 🙏💖☔
This is great Ralph - I love your experimentation, isn't it amazing what you can do with a bit of paper and a table top! Going up to the 2 inch bottle, that first pairing actually looks a little Man Ray-ish to me with the way the light and dark shadow outlines them...they stand out for me but to be honest these have all come out really well. Oh and I love your Green Man gathering!😊
Many thanks for your kind words, Lin. I'm not sure I've had any work likened to that of one of the greats before, even in a vague way - much appreciated, though. It's got me looking at more of his work☺️

Many thanks, Tony. Which particular youtube channel did you have in mind? There are a few that I follow that are mostly to do with film photography

Thank you 🙂
This looks really fun! It has inspired me to do some black and white still life work while I’m cooped up this winter 😁
Cheers! I'm hope all goes well with it when you do🙂
Btw thanks for the restack.

Many thanks, Todd. If you do, I look forward to seeing the end result🤓
DAmn, Ralph! That EM with the Rolleinars!!! That's some good stuff, there!
Thanks, Darin! It could become my tabletop (relatively) close-up kit of choice🔍😎.
Fascinating experimentation and superb results.
Many thanks, Paul🙏
Good fun. Nice.
Thank you! 🙂
Love the abstract “light through glass” above and the fun with glass shadows below.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed these☺️
