Such a lovely group of trees to have right on your doorstep Ralph - a walk under their canopy must be like walking through one of natures cathedrals...so beautiful and nourishing for the soul. I love the image of the leaves in all of their golden and caramel shades, such gemstones hanging overhead. The beeches are just starting to peak down here now, I'm hoping they hang onto their glory for a couple more days when we can get over to a local tree walk on the valley.
Many thanks, Lin, for your lovely words. We are, indeed, very lucky. 🤞🤞that you're blessed with a veritable riot of colour on your walk with the trees🙏🍃🍂🍁
Ab-soul-utely beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing these, Ralph. This morning, your words and images are reminding me of a little poem written by Robert Frost (1923). Here it is:
Beautiful images: the penultimate one – with its almost animal (even human) limbs reaching for the sky – I found most arresting. A wonderful series covering the brief time between ripening colour and bare branches. Thank you for sharing it.

Beautiful images Ralph, made all the better by being viewed on a wet and miserable winter’s morning. Thanks for sharing.

Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
🙏💛🍂
Thank you so much, Deborah, particularly for sharing Robert Frost's deeply moving words 🙏💚🍁🍂
Rich tapestry indeed, lovely looks at your golden lane.
Many thanks!
What colours! Love the trees as well. Great set Ralph!
Many thanks, Shital!
Lovely beech trees, Ralph. I can imagine how amazing it must be to stroll under their canopy this time of year. 😍
Thank you, Todd. It is a special place, indeed🙂
