Thank you! Well, technically you haven’t really missed it, yet. The actual pivotal moment comes just before one thirty tomorrow morning for you.☺️

Solstice blessings to you and Irene too Ralph. I love the wild roses that seem to be in abundance this year - they very much are a beautiful stage on our nature clocks. Whenever I'm out walking I have to stop and take in that gentle fragrance that's so quintessentially summer. You've captured all of that in your words here - beautifully written. 🌹☀️💚

Thank you so much, Lin, much appreciated💚🙏. The rose in the photo is a well-travelled-rose. That plant started life on the Isle of Wight, a cutting from the footpath where I took my lunchtime stroll from work, near Cowes. The cuttings went home with me and, of the six or eight, this one took and we had a glorious bush in our garden in Ryde. When we moved to North Yorkshire, rose moved with us and took to the back garden, with another wild profusion each year. Sadly it got left behind on this last move. Still, there are so many to see just down the lane, here🌺🌞🙂

Oh how lovely Ralph - carrying the rose with you to North Yorkshire. I'm surprised you haven't already taken cuttings from those close to you and planted one in your own garden. I don't know if I mentioned it before but I have a rose bush in my front garden that I dug up from my dads house when he died...he planted it in 1967 so it has it's 60th birthday next year and it's still blooming from May through to the first frosts. They are such resilient plants. 🌹😊

Well now, there’s a thought🤔😃. Wow, your Dad’s rose is doing very well! It’s as old as me, but I bet it’s a darn sight prettier 🤣

Solstice blessings, Ralph. Thank you so much for sharing. The wild dog rose in your poem and photograph feels like a true midsummer messenger, reminding us how briefly beauty flares before folding itself back into the turning year. There’s a quiet strength running through your words, as delicate and true as the rose itself and they leave me holding the Solstice a little more tenderly.

May all your Litha wanderings be magickal. Blessed Be. 🙏💖🌹✨

Many thanks for your kind words, Deborah. Hopefully I'll be able to crawl out of bed in the wee hours for a wander assuming it's dry and the sky is reasonably clear)😴🥱😵‍💫😬😃🌞🌺🐦‍⬛ Blessed be💚🙏
