What am excellent adventure! Your black and white of The Station is gorgeous and some of those red rocks looks like Utah or Arizona. Crazy!

Many thanks, Paul, much appreciated. It was quite an adventure, indeed. We were out there for a month in total, starting in Sydney and following the coast round

What a journey, Ralph! Some of these landscapes and their patterns are mind-blowing! I particularly liked the photos from Yourambulla cave and Kanyaka station, but the image titled 'rugged' is marvelous too. You probably made thousands of photos!

Many thanks, Vincent, for your kind words. Our main trip Started off in Sydney and we followed the coast down to Melbourne then round and up to Adelaide, around 3300km if memory serves. I wouldn't like to guess how many piccies I took, but your guess may well be right! lol

Great collection of words and pictures Ralph. I remember seeing the milky way from the Hawaiian Island of Kauai and having my mind blown in the same way. How insignificant and wholly expanded we can feel in a single moment. Look forward to the next set.

Many thanks, Paul, I appreciate it. Your words "how insignificant and wholly expanded we can feel in a single moment" sum it up perfectly. Your Hawaiian experience sounds amazing.

Oh wow, what an amazing adventure Ralph and some fabulous images to remember it by. I do like the two trees in the 'Resiliant' gallery and Kanyaka Station...what a place to set up a community, it must have been so hard to live there back then.

The cave paintings are incredible so well preserved - what a privilege to walk in such a sacred place. I did look them up and it seems these paintings are no longer open to the public so that really is a once in a lifetime experience for you. Wonderful post - I'm looking forward to part two! :-)

Many thanks for your kind words, Lin, much appreciated🙏. Yes, a humbling privilege sums it up perfectly. As you say, certainly for us anyway, it'll never happen again🤍🙂

What joy! Thanks so much for sharing your adventure Ralph.

I love the way your images and storytelling carry such tenderness for the land and its history. I felt as though I was walking those paths with you. And adored the way you described the Milky Way, the gorge, the ruins and the ancient art in those caves. Just beautiful!

"The Station" is my favourite image, it's ab-soul-utely stunning in black and white.

There’s something so deeply moving about journeys that take us both across the world and back through time ... touching the traces of those who came long, long before us. Roll on Part 2! 🙏💖

Thank you so much, Deborah, for your kind words and 'coming along on the journey', much appreciated🙏🤍. It was, indeed, such an amazing experience.
