Thirty+ years is a long time for a vintage camera to languish in a cupboard, overlooked and neglected...
Back in the late 80s I spotted this little Voigtländer in the '£10 and under' section at the back of our local advertiser rag, purchasing it on a whim. When it came to live with me it was already an antique, produced before I was born back in the early to mid 1960s. Shamefully, since it's been with me it's only had a couple of rolls of film put through it, trying it out shortly after I bought it. The remaining years it’ss not even been able to claim ornament status, being tucked away in said cupboard.
Well, I thought, high time I gave it another outing, so ran a roll of Ilford's HP5+ through it. Everything seemed to work - as long as I kept my fingers away from the sticky self-timer lever, as I discovered two or three times when it prevented the shutter firing having inadvertently nudged it, leaving a few blank frames on the roll... ah well, all part of the experience.
Anyway, after developing the film in caffenol (delta recipe) and digitising via camera scanning on my modified enlarger, I was very pleasantly surprised how well this veteran did, producing some pleasing, crisp images. I think this old'n deserves to get out 'n' about a little more often..
This little posting would be incomplte without a photo of this lovely piece of 1960s engineering. Still in good shape.

I love the splashes of sunlight the lane is particularly atmospheric 😍
