European Holiday 2003 Pt3.
More photos than words this time and in no particular chronological order. An assortmentof images from places visited whilst in Germany before heading off to Denmark and the final leg of our holiday. The weather was most kind to us that Easter.
The next few are from a brief stop we made at Weimar during our journey east to Poland.
Externsteine was popular with our boys as they used to love clambering about on rocks (though, here, they were somewhat constrained for obvoius reasons). This is an amazing sacred sandstone structure of significant historic and cultural value (though, sadly, it’s hitherto blameless reputation was sullied by the National Socalists in the dark pre-war period - fortunately it has regained popularity in more recent times)
